Lublin: West - East Meetings

Several international routes that crossed in Lublin and numerous meetings held here have made our city a place for meeting Latin and Byzantine civilizations, i.e. the West and East of Europe. When the Jagiellonian dynasty was reigning in Poland (1386-1572), Lublin was a city of European significance. The "Jagiellonian Route" Kraków - Lublin - Vilnius and "Merchants' Route" Wroclaw - Lublin - Lviv, the parliament sessions and gatherings of Polish and Lithuanian gentry, and fairs were important in those days.

Today, the heritage of "West - East" meetings is continued and developed in our city. The Lublin Association for Cultural Tourism "West - East" has focused on it and developed the city trails called "Lublin Routes for West - East Meetings" and a special cultural event calendar.

Feel encouraged individually or in group to take advantage of this offer.
